A check-in with the community
Hey everyone
Is the forum dead?
I realize I'm not exactly helping the matter with my lack of rolling, but that's another issue... But I mean, my game is #4 on the first page, and I haven't posted in weeks.
Do any of these games still roll or anything?

I'm active, or would be if any of the games I'm in were.

Re: A check-in with the community
Same as Frogger. Been really busy with Midterms. Expect this during school semesters. It'll pick up, but it will pick up a lot faster if we had a form of advertising.
Re: A check-in with the community
Aarrgh. I've been so busy. In my free time I've been trying to catch up on some RL things I've left behind, as well as brainstorming ideas to get my game off the ground.
I say no advertising. With our current rate of rolling and new games, the people who do join will be disillusioned and leave (this has happened with about 15 people already...).
Perhaps we should wait until things calm down for everybody.

Dead? No. Comatose? Maybe. But that's life.
I'm anxiously awaiting the games I'm in that are still alive. Hell, wish I didn't have bad writers block or I'd see about getting something moving too.

Re: A check-in with the community
I've got actions posted in all my games, just waiting for ROLLS. My process typing up my information and application is stone-walled until I can reactivate the Internet at my house. The iPhone is sufficient for typing actions in games and other "basic" posts, but for world-building, applications, and rolling...not so much! Hahaha! I have it TYPED up (mostly)...I'll post it when I can connect my computer to the Internet again. :-)

Re: A check-in with the community
Sounds like we're all having a bit of reluctance to type... I've wanted to roll, but homework and laziness has taken up most of my time.
Hopefully we'll all get over our blocks in a bit.

Re: A check-in with the community
Games have lost a bit of their steam, but they're still chugging along. I remember the days when it was one roll per day. Wow.
I would love to speed up my game a bit, but i can hardly expect my players to post actions sooner when i don't follow up with a roll.
The end of my game is actually in sight though, its a plot driven game so it does have an ending. Its just that, if I'd kept the daily roll routine up, then we'd be well into my second game by now.
Actually, the other thing I wanted to bring up was the archives. I am personally interested in keeping my archive up to date, but I don't thing anyone with permissions is. The thing is, my next two games are sequels, and prequels, so I want my players to be able to read what happened last game. But what I probably might end up doing, is writing it all into a short story which players can read. And other users, if they have nothing better to do.

Re: A check-in with the community
I was thinking about that the other day, Frogger. I'm sure there are others like me who are checking the forum (most days) everyday and would be willing to spend some time catching up the archives.

I try to be active. Generally I roll(Or try to) on my free day(Friday), though some weeks I don't have time.
