Text Based Adventure Game

Possibly the best casual text-based adventure game ever. Very nice writing

I've only played Choice of the Dragon so far.

I will try these out this weekend after I post my GM application.

I remember playing something eerily similar to "the dragon" game on my iDevice. To the point where I could remember the next plot twists.

Anyways...

I've been meaning to ask you, Bigkahuna. How would one set up a purely text-based (die free) game on these forums? I've read all of MSPaintadventures.com's games, and I think the style of game might be a good fit to the interests of the forum inhabitants (most likely without the images). I'd like to have a game to host if/when DC ends for some reason. Or just in general.

Please excuse grammar and spelling mistakes. I'm tired.

Wow... I've been reading the Problem Sleuth comic on MSPaint... SO STUPID... But yet...

A purely text-based game? I have no idea. You'd basically have to take your players actions and do whatever you want with them, or consider what stats/weapons you have and start coming up with ridiculous outcomes.

You'd run it the same as any other game. In the Games section.

Lol. So this is not an official game? Just a goofing off game?

Well, see "Trollening" in the Games forum for a precedent... Yes, Dragon locked it, but he's not here right now, is he? I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

It's fine with me to put it in the Games forum. If it's really that awful, I'll move it somewhere else.

This is all theoretical. I'm not in a state to roll right now, so I'm spending all of my time thinking up mechanics and plots for other games... Figured I'd ask if it would be allowed on the forums.

On a related note, I WANT THE TROLLENING BACK.

Oh wow that was so much fun. The half a turn I was in the game...

I have no adverse thoughts at all to a new TROLLENING, if done right. I don't understand Dragon's "no-nonsense" philosophy... This is, after all, a pure Games forum.

Games like that are welcome, as long as they are controlled. If they get out of control, we'll make a new section from them.

Soooo many ideas that would be awesome in R2D. In fact, tons of them I've already dreamed up and it's awesome to see it working so awesomely.
