- The Story:
- Red Zone
Reave’s final attempt at freedom.
The story is set in the year 2027, on a planet called, Nallan
The country of Reave is currently in the midst of a ten-year siege. They are under attack from the Villzun, a crude and barbaric neighboring country, whose objective is to conquer the entire west of Nallan, and take the inhabitants of Reave as slaves.
Players will take part as members of the Elite Reave Defense Force, (Or as some may call it, The E.R.D.F) In a specialist team of soldiers, organized as a last attempt at earning freedom for their country. The government has arranged a FX23 chopper to drop the Delta Squad behind enemy lines, where they will then do whatever they can to stop the Villzun Armada.
The only way to complete the game is to work together to stop the threat.
- The Beginning Of The War:
In the year 2018, the planet Earth was immensely over populated. So over populated in fact that the inhabitants of Earth were forced to split into two groups. (More on this later) The first group of settlers to land on this new planet Nallan, was led by a man called General Rosenstein. General Rosenstein was of great lineage, following along the lines of his late father, Edward Rosenstein the 1st. The first scuffle for power was led by a man named Jason Zention. The right hand man to Rosenstein. Zention was convinced that it was foolish to let the lower class eat all of the food, as it was scarce, Whereas Rosenstein believed that every man should have a right to eat. More and more over the following weeks Zention believed that the General's mind was corrupt.
Eventually Zention, couldn't handle the pressure,he waited till midnight, and snuck into the General's chambers with a suppressed CX-45 CL. Unfortunately for Zention, Rosenstein, was not a fool. As soon as he stepped foot in the bedroom he felt the solid barrel of a gun against his head. The General had installed LS Doors(Laser Sensor). As soon as Zention walked through that entry doorway, Rosenstein was awake and waiting, gun in hand.
Zention was banished from the city, and sent into the abyss of an unexplored planet. But not without a decent following. A lot of the higher up men and woman were with Zention, and so began the country of Villzun. Zention gathered troops for 10 years, men and woman of all ages, before he finally came for his revenge against the people of Reave.
- The Game’s Mechanics:
Red Zone will utilize a d6.
After notifying of a Major and Minor action –
1 – Uber failure, MAY cause damage and disaster to the user or others
2 – Large Failure, unlikely to cause damage but still possible
3 – Failure, nothing will happen to damage you.
4 – Success, a satisfactory result, nothing more
5 – Large Success, you will complete your task well and also gain 1 skill point
6 – Complete Success, you will complete your task better than expected and gain 2 skill points*
- The Skill Point System -SPS-:

Each character class will have 3 skills, which they can then level up and improve. Improving your skills will allow you to have a better chance of success at using your skills, for example…
The Captain class has a skill called Influence.
Let’s say, for instance, that the person playing as the Captain chose to use that skill on a guard, to try and persuade him that he was a superior ranking officer and was allowed to enter. (Bad example, but nevertheless).
If the player in question had the default skill level, 1, then he wouldn’t have a very large chance in succeeding, seeing as it is quite a difficult task, compared to other easier ones. But if he had say, a 6, (Out of 10), he would have a larger chance to succeed in persuading the guard.

- Skill Descriptions:
Captain -
- Influence
Influence allows the player to persuade NPC characters to do what they want, as the skill gets upgraded, it will become easier to manipulate.
- Pilot
Pilot enables the player to take control of planes and fly them, along with any other form of aircraft
- Trainer
Trainer is a unique skill in the game. Trainer is a passive ability which means it doesn't need to be used as a minor action. The minor move for example would be, help train Assassin in silent blade. In order to gain a skill point in trainer, the player must help enough people train. Trainer is unique in the way that it utilises a d2. Should the player training someone get a d6 or d1 on their major action it is irrelevant. A second roll is made just for the trainer portion. d1 means unsuccessful, and d2 means successful. As the player upgrades Trainer they are able to have a chance of granting more skill points. And later on in levels they can train 2 people at once. -For questions about this skill further pm me-
Demolitionist -
- DV Explosives X 20
I think this skill is pretty self explanatory, some may say that this should count as weaponry but i took a different angle towards it, DV explosives are much like C4 but have a larger blast radius and are smaller, making them easier to fit inside small spaces.

- Decoy Grenade Pack
Decoy Grenade Pack is one of the equipment packs in the game. These packs are a simple way of allowing one class to be the only one able to use this form of equipment. For example if someone was to search for equipment and find decoy grenades, they would be put straight in the demolitionist's inventory. Decoy Grenades when deployed create the sound of gunfire and explosions, drawing any NPC nearby to the point of deployment, allowing for easy ambushes and distractions.

and since this game was only posted about 20mins ago, it hasnt had a chance to be moved yet.

Ok ace223.
Here is how it is going to work.
You are allowed to pick a name for yourself.
It would consist of a first name and last name, in my rolls you would commonly be referred to by your last name, rather than your first. You will not be able to change your name when the game begins...
It can be your real name if you wish.

Just a note for everybody, i am doing the map as we speak, as you get further in the game i'll be uploading some pictures of the guns, don't have them all prepared for release. As soon as the map is ready i will start the game with an Intro, you will then get to make your first move.
Also in regards to a common issue, inactivity. The way it works is, if you don't respond within 24 hours. 2 things will happen, 1 - The roll will be done without you and you'll be used as an npc for that move. And 2 - Your position in the game will be reviewed, with the likely hood you will get a strike.
3 Strikes, you're out... Nuff said?
Feel free to ask any questions regarding the game, still waiting on 2 names.

i like that idea, but i think it should be 48 hours, so that if people are busy on a certain day they dont get a warning, like me i am busy on fridays, and TBH i dont want to have to log on the forums all the time at school, school is for work not R2D.

If you're going to impose regulations like that, then your going to be going through players at an ridiculous rate, players which we don't have, I know from experience. Don't bother with regulations, people will post in good time, especially seeing as three of us all live in Australia. But if you insist, 48 hours minimum. Any less would be unreasonable.

Yes yes, i get what you mean... But the fact of the matter is, no one wants to wait 2 days for a roll... Thats just common sense.
It will stay as 24 hours as i said. If you have a valid reason for not doing an action for instance going away, please notify me, as then i will make you an npc until you return. If you forget to roll or something like that, let me know when you finally do post and i won't give you a strike, that's understandable. I don't want to kick people out of the game, but if they are repetitively missing rolls, something will be done.
To recap, let me know if there's a problem, i'm very lenient, and will more than likely forgive you...

Now then, would be an appropriate time to let you know that I'm going on a camp this weekend (Friday afternoon til Sunday afternoon.)

Alright, if you need help with maps or weapon art I could probably help out some, I'm not the best artist, but I can get general shapes and such done pretty well, it's really shading where I fall short.
As for the 24 hour rule... Are the strikes on like, a record thing or is it gonna be like, if you don't post with-in the span or 3-4 actions you're out?
Like, if you don't post an action for 1 or 2 things, but come back would the previous strikes be deleted or anything?
