Game Start

You five are complete new-comers to this place; all of you are confused and none of you are sure what they're doing here, but each of you notices the other four are as lost as yourself, and you systematically get together, seeking protection form this strange and new place. After you all calm down and talk to each other for some minutes, an old man with white hair walks to you, with a smile across his face: "Welcome, youth. Please follow me, everything will be explained soon." you all look to each other, as to seek approval, even though you had never seen any of them, but since they were in the same situation as yourself, you trusted them.

You all follow the man, who leads you through the facility to a huge decorated wooden door. "We're here" he said opening the door slowly, revealing 3 people inside the room. An interesting man behind a desk; he was in his fourties, with a scar starting on his chin and going all the way down through his neck, hiding behind his jacket. There was also a muscular man standing next to him, who seemed to scan all of you as soon as you crossed the entrance, looking at everyone, everything, analysing your capabilities and potential. "Welcome to General Takato's office, current leader of the ARU field operations group." Said a soft voice, coming form the third person in the room. She looked young, probably younger than all of you, but it was hard to tell with the modern cosmetics.

Before you could reply, the man behind the desk opens his mouth. His look made you all respect him the second you came into his office, for some strange reason, he seemed like a good man. "You are all here for a reason..." He said with a deep voice that reached deep into your flesh, reaching your bones, your nerves, all your senses were sparking with the sole voice of this unknown man. "You five will be forming the new team of field agents for the ARU special operations group."

The muscular man stayed silent, observing all of you, while the girl was smiling without really caring about anything going on. "The pay is good, even for recruits, and the missions aren't as hard as the higher-rank officers." Immediately, Daniyel popped on and said; "how much are we talking about here? I have a pretty good job right now." "Twenty Haos as a base pay" said the girl. All your eyes shined with a sparkling feeling, and your faces were full of amusement; it was multiple times more than a regular wage.

"So? What do you say, young ones?" Said the General finally.

Hint: Now would be a good time to ask questions, for example, "WTF is the ARU!?" Also, whoever doesn't answer question at all will join the ARU by default. You could in theory get a better payment, but considering you're recruits and he's a General with in incredible charisma, it probably wouldn't be a good idea just yet, but remember that your success or failure is mostly based on the situation and the wording you chose when doing your actions.

Event #1

Regnar: Ask what it is exactly that were doing, and examine the room for possible items to use to escape if proven neccesary. Join the ARU.

When looking around the room you see two crossed swords, one electro-blade with a simple fuse system and one old katana form the old times. Other than that, you see several paintings and a bookshelf, but one painting looks strange. You're not sure why, but it does make you feel weird.

"Well, your missions can vary depending on what happens in the world, but It will mainly be intell missions and assassinations while you're trainees."


FillerB: Ask to be seated and inquire about the nature of the job, wondering what kind of "safe" job could possible pay so well.

"Well, sure, there is a chance you will suffer a horrible and painful death, but you'll be a team of six people, so there's nothing to fear."


Rulyon: Express interest in joining, if the answers are favorable. Inquire about the ARU and the expectations.

"Oh, Matari, you didn't explain them what the ARU is?"
"I'm sorry sir, you said to bring them as far as possible."
"Oh well, thanks. The ARU is an organisation founded by ex-Anonymous and ex-CIA top agents, it was founded soon after the second mutant appeared; 7 years after the CIA was dissolved. We fight to protect the people of New Tokyo, and from the rest of the country and even the world as well. Your tasks won't be really dangerous, as I said earlier. You five were selected by our specialists; they don't search for abilities or skills, but for potential. Every time every one of you solved a mathematics problem without prior knowledge, inventing your own formulas, every time you won a street fight just by using your brains, every time you managed to make a girl fall in love with you not through expensive presents or looks, but through your speech, every time all that happened, you were being graded. You five had incredibly high numbers, that's why this year we have five recruits instead of the usual 4."


Kanapka: I'll say that I want to join and observe the people on the room to get some information on them in case we'll be meeting them a lot during work. And I'll smile.

You start by looking at the girl, (Obviously >.<) you notice she has a perfect body, and the same can be said about her face, a perfect skin. Everything seems to be "right", nothing too big, nothing too small, everything made her a perfect woman. That is, of course, if you ignore the USB port she has on her neck. The muscular man is unreadable, at least by your simple abilities, and when he notices you're watching him; he looks right into your eyes, and a shiver runs through your back. The man behind the counter is interesting; he seems to have fought a lot wars in his life, and murdered a lot of people, but his eyes tell you he's a good man, calm and smart, and always loyal. Pretty much like a puppy, or more exactly, like a wolf cub. Matari is just an old man, you don't really pay attention to him, for he doesn't really represent an ally or a threat to you.


John: Ask what happened to the previous ARU team... listen to response intently, smile, and reply "I'm in, when do we start? And what sort of preparation do we have?"

Well, if you mean the Phoenix team, they died last year fighting a Marox known as "Cole" if you mean one of the other seven hundred forty eight teams, they're all on missions, most of them anyways. Your mission begins in 2 hours, and you will be able to use that time as you wish, but from inside the facility; you can learn things from one of our veteran agents or study in our library; you can call home if you want, but if you happen to reveal anything about the ARU; they might be visited by Matari.


~GAME EVENTS~

"Sgt. Cupcake here will be your troop leader; any order given by him must be taken as given by myself. He's one of our top officials, so don't try anything stupid to try to trick him. He will also be selecting your codenames after the next 2 hours." Said General Takato, making a sign as to show the muscular man by his side.

"You, idiot!" Cupcake said staring at Kanapka, "I saw you looking at me. you were obviously trying to analyse me, but you fail at it. I'll teach you how to do this, but if you ever try to "read" me again, your codename will be Sissygirl; Understood, girl?" He leaves the room, as Kanapka follows him.

Well, boys, AI0867 will show you the way to wherever you want to go, and all our veterans will gladly help you out with anything you need." The girl walks in front of you and smiles, asking where you'd like to go.

"Oh, I'd also suggest one of you learn how to ride a helicopter; I doubt you want to walk through the desert to arrive there." Said Takato.

Tip: Learn, right now is the perfect time to learn something, although given enough creativity, you could do better actions. you should all be selecting what you want to learn and how you want to do it (how you'll behave during the training). Kanapka, you don't get to choose what to learn, but you're with a very important character, so you're privileged in the matter. (It's also probably a really good ability to learn.)

Event #2

FillerB: Volunteer to the group to take the advised helicopter training. I ask "RoboGirl" what type of helicopters they have and what their combat capabilities are. These might come in handy later when we have to confront one of these Marox-figures.

John: CHAT: "I'd like learn to fly a heli... Always had a fascination with flight Very Happy."
NOTES: Learn diligently. Inquire about the technical statistics of the supplied helicopter and its equipment as often as possible, in particular, so I can have the capability to modify the helicopter(s), and other mechanical technology. Inquire lightly about the history of whoever trains me (be it the AI or a veteran, e.t.c), and ask where I can arm / outfit myself better if/when I return from the mission. Tweak and improve the chopper for survivability (armour) if there's any spare time. Be polite, be efficient, and have a plan to kill everyone I meet.
During training I will, of course, pay full attention. I don't want to miss any details or information the instructor might slip during the training. The training itself will focus on advanced flight maneuvers and pick up/dropping techniques so we can shake off pursuers and make a quick getaway should the need arise.


FillerB & John: AI0867 takes you both to the Level1-Flight section of the facility; where a young man, probably around your age is inserting several microchips into a basic helicopter:
Jackal: "Oh, wassup mate? How you doin' how can I help ya?"
AI0867: "These recruits seek for training on helicopters, this one wants to specialise on manoeuvres; and this other one wants to learn about the actual tech used in our helicopters."
Jackal: "Awright, come here, kids, you'll learn from the best"

He teaches you both how to fly on several simulators, you find that the bigger the simulators were the harder it was to fly. After that, he takes you out with an un-armed helicoper and lets you feel "the real thing", but thanks to the advanced simulators, you both handle it easily. Admiral Jackal them leaves FillerB alone in a simulator, using a small helicopter against thousands of enemy infantry and vehicles, and although he died several times, he improved a lot after a few tries; he managed to avoid almost all the bullets and missiles, and kill many of the enemy troops, paying full attention to anything that happened. In the meanwhile, Jackal is teaching John what all the parts of a helicopter mean, and how to use them, and teaches him how to modify some things to maximise speed at the cost of firepower, and improved manoeuvrability in exchange for armor. He then allows you to modify the same basic helicopter that he was working on, and you decide to make it's armour better; applying a function that allows the metallic layers to move slightly when hit, and therefore minimising the power of the hit. Sadly, this uses up a lot of energy, and the helicopter is unable to move for a second when it is hit. You talk to the Admiral for the twenty minutes left. you find out he joined the ARU 8 years ago, when he was only 8 years old, and advanced ranks fast for being a magician with technology.

FillerB: level 1 general flight; level 3 manoeuvring while using a small helicopter; level 2 on a big one.You learned a lot, but Admiral Jackal didn't quite like your serious personality.

John: The Admiral completely loved you; you both shared the same passion for flight, and no one else ever asked him about his life. On the other hand, you didn't learn as much as you could, since you wasted several precious minutes with chit-chat. level 2 helicopter technology, level 1 general technology, level 1 general flight.

Admiral Jackal sent a report to Sargent Cupcake for both of you.


Ruylon: After the AI delivers, Daniyel will seek knowledge and training from the appropriate operative. In training he'll ask questions about strategies that have worked in the past, and more importantly about any information available involving the demise of the team that went after "Cole". In terms of equipment training he's going focus on that which will be used in espionage: knives (both melee and throwing), saps, infrared and nightvision equipment, and a little with a mid-range, maybe a silenced SMG just in case the shit hits the fan. He will seek a rapport and perhaps mentorship with this operative.

Regnar: Take a class on assasination, were gonna need to know how to do this is we are assigned to kill one of these thing. Pay a ton of attention to everything, and hopefully work on useing a sniper rifle.

Ruylon & Regnar: Both of you are taken to a dining room, where a brunette woman with a long dark purple jacket and a skirt is shooting knives to a table, hitting in random possitions, or so it seems. AI0867 calls for her, and she turns around and shoots three more knives, they all hit a cm away from your head.

Thorn: "What do you want?"
AI0867: "Lieutenant Thorn, these recruits want to learn from you, mainly in under-cover works and assassinations. One would like to learn how to use a sniping rifle, I was hoping I could find BioHazard around, and the other one would like to inquire mainly about stealth."
Thorn: "Oh well, I'm not a sniper myself, and BioHazard went out on a personal mission; but I can still teach you weakspots and a little tips. You, on the other hand, will become a goldmine if you pay attention."

She takes you both to the outside, and takes off her jacket, revealing the massive weaponry she was holding. Several small guns, at least a hundred throwing knives, two curved daggers, a long range rifle and several flasks containing strange liquids. She spends the first hour teaching Regnar how to hold a sniper rifle; it isn't as easy as it seems in the hologram-theatre, but you get it quite fast. She also gives you tips as to where you should shoot an enemy to kill him fast and silently, or slowly and with loads of pain. She then leaves you alone to practice shooting at the practice targets, and goes to Ruylon to teach him how to use the knives. You spend half an hour doing this, and in that time, you manage to learn how to calculate distance and strength, and how to hit the hot-spots in a body. You then start learning about stealth, and you manage to learn the basics, but at this point, you start losing concentration, looking at Thorn's body. She notices this, and tells you to take care, since knifes can be dangerous if you don't pay attention. At this point, you notice you cut your finger a bit, and are bleeding. You didn't quite get to the point where you learn how to use infrared and nightvision equipment, nor how to use silenced guns, but she gave you a small gun as a present, smaller than your palm, and it can only fit ten extremely small bullets, but you might find a use for it. When walking back to the office, you ask for tips on taking our Marox, and about the Phoenix team. She replies that she doesn't have the information, only captains and higher ranks know about other teams, and about the tips, all she says is that attacking an enemy with an element that seems to be opposite to his will generate chaos and destruction, be it for the better or worse. None of you noticed at what point she wrote the report, but she is carrying a folder with two papers inside.

Regnar: level 1 accuracy when using long-range weapons, level 1 lethality when using long-range weapons.
Rulyon: level 2 accuracy when throwing knives, level 2 lethality when using knives, level 1 stealth, slight bleeding, easily distracted.


Kanapka: Follow Sgt. Cupcake and learn from him. At the end of the time (some 20 minutes before end) I tell him I'm grateful for his help and I hope that what I learned from him will help me talk down a guy pointing a gun in my face, but I can't talk to physical obstacles. I ask him if he can give me a crash course on lockpicking - I mean the 'you take this gizmo and that gizmo and stick them into the lock this way and do this and you should be able to open an easy lock'.

Cupcake teaches you how to analyse people, by facial signs, tension of muscles, body language, etc. You also learn basic interrogation skills, and logical thinking. He denies the lock-picking course, but he promises that he will after coming back form the first mission. When writing his personal notes, you notice a slight smile, and by checking his eyes and mouth, you find out he's writing something as "sweet" or "lovable".

Kanapka: Level 2 analysis, level 1 interrogation, level 1 logistic.


After coming back to the General's office, the Sargent assigns the codenames; Regnar's is Falcon, Kanapka's is Toffee, Filler's is Aerius, John's is Chip and Rulyon's is Pig.

General Takato gives each of you a photon-supported magnum gun (It's a damn handgun... ^_^), a watch and a knife, which both seem to be "more than just a knife and a watch", but he said he'd explain after the first mission is done. He also gives each of you a black jacket, which again, has some special secrecy to it.

You go to the helicopter and Filler will be driving, the other 4 sit on the back, and Sgt. Cupcake sits next to Filler.

You have 1 hour until the arrival to New York.

Event #3

Falcon (Regnar): Examine the watch, knife, and jacket, pay special attention to the watch and tinker with the different button's to see if there is some sort of use (besides telling time).

You check the knife and Jacket, but ignore them mainly and go straight for the watch, checking the several buttons you can see it has a built-in GPS system, several lights, which you don't understand, a button that when pressed releases a high-voltage .5 inch cylinder, another button that releases the ring around the screen, and said ring reveals sharp edges, pretty much like a mini-shuriken. You then press another button, which launches a needle that reaches FillerB's neck. You decided not to try the rest of the buttons, there were 3 left.


Aerius (Filler): Try and miserably fail in striking up a casual conversation with Cupcakes, joking about how my codename is the name of a really old anti-allergies drug. I take a look in the back and see Regnar, or Falcon or whatever his codename is was messing around with the gear they gave. I tell them not to try and mess around with the guns, since you aren't confident enough in your abilities yet to fly a real severely damaged helicopter.

Cupcakes actually talks to you, he has a laugh about your codename, and tells you about his; he explains he was an obnoxious kid when young, and his team leader decided to screw with him. After a pleasant conversation with the Sergeant, you turn around and ask Falcon not to mess with the gear, pledge he obviously ignores, and keep playing around with the watch. A few minutes after this, you feel a slight pinch on your neck, and you fall deeply asleep.


Toffee (Kanapka):If I am unable to use a handgun (nothing in my abilites says I know how to shoot), I ask Regnar13/Falcon to teach me (to avoid a situation when I try to shoot and forget to put the safety off or something like that). If I'm able to use a handgun or Falcon doesn't agree/edit his action to 'help Kanapka/Toffee or examine stuff', I'll help him check out our equpment.

You start checking the equipment, and you notice the jacket, although being extremely light, is actually bullet-proof. You also notice it has a basic medical kit in a secret pocket.


Pig (Ruylon): If I am unable to use a handgun (nothing in my abilites says I know how to shoot), I ask Regnar13/Falcon to teach me (to avoid a situation when I try to shoot and forget to put the safety off or something like that). If I'm able to use a handgun or Falcon doesn't agree/edit his action to 'help Kanapka/Toffee or examine stuff', I'll help him check out our equpment.

Noticing Toffee's discovery, you quickly open the kit and try to heal your wound; you fail at it. But it'll work for now. On the other hand, when Cupcake sees this, he calls you a "sissy" and a couple other names not suitable to reproduce here. When checking the knife, you see it's "perfect", it has a marvellous weight, not enough to make you slower, but enough to give a powerful and lethal strike. The knife obviously isn't for throwing it, but it must have something else to it. You discover a button on the lower part of the knife, and when pressing it, the blade of the knife glows blue, and you burn your hand. (Congratulations.) Falcon pretty much ignores you, he's too busy checking the watch.


Chip (John): Spend 40 minutes tweaking the chopper to improve the armour, for practise and just in case. Don the watch and black jacket, pocket the hand gun, spend 10 minutes examining and sharpening the knife to learn for myself what it can do (and stick on my belt when done of course), and finally, ask the Cupcake for specifics on what this mission entails.

You spend several minutes trying to make the helicopter's armour better, and you create a micro-chip capable of doing so; or at least that's what you think. You can't apply it right now, since it needs to be done to the panel, which is only accessible from the outside. You ask Cupcake about the mission, and he says you'll meet an under-cover agent when you arrive, and that he doesn't know himself the complete briefing of the mission.


Cupcake: "FUCK!"
He grabs FillerB and he takes him to the floor, he immediately takes out the needle and starts sucking the poison.
"Someone take control of the helicopter, at this height we'll die in 2 minute if you don't! Someone give me a first aid kit fast!"
"You idiot, they told you they would teach you how to use the tools later!"

~stress situation~ only 1 action allowed.

The chopper is quickly falling, and you have only flew for about fifty minutes, that means you're still pretty far away from your destination.

Event #4

Pig: Hold the unused medkit from his own jacket out for Cupcake, it'll be faster for someone who knows what they're looking for to take the appropriate item than it would be to describe it to someone else. "Is there an antidote available? Tell me what to do to help you."

You hand the medkit off to Cupcake, and he takes a pen from it; he quickly stabs Aerius in the neck and lets him bleed for about ten seconds, then he presses a button on the pen that automatically seals the wound, leaving no marks. "Alright, he shall wake up in a few seconds... Ugh... just.." And he falls asleep.


Toffee: Look for a parachute, if I find one start putting it on (if I have the time). If we have parachutes on and it's safe to open the door (the helicopter is not spinning), open the door and get ready to jump. If any of these counts as two actions, I perform the first one.

You quickly put on the parachute next to you, and open the helicopter's door. You position yourself to jump, but you slip and fall; you manage to open the parachute, but you see how the helicopter flies away.


Chip: Get in the pilot's seat and save our collective asses, by making a safe, controlled landing.

You manage to stabilize the helicopter, and plan to go ahead, but you hear Falcon shout "Toffee fell!", so you try to land on the nearest available place.


Aerius: Dream about electric sheep or whatever unconscious people do.

You wake up, feeling stronger, you feel like a powerful drug would cause a minor effect on you, and you probably could stand chemical torture much better than a normal person. You should be thankful; if Cupcake had taken a few seconds more, you'd be as good as dead.


Falcon: Apologize to Aerius (if he is awake, or when he wakes up if he does this turn), then apologize to Pig for ignoring him. Then search for a parachute if I still have time.

Falcon: -
Falcon: "Aerius; I'm sorry pal, I didn't intend to harm you..."
Aerius: "I know you didn't, just try to follow the rules from now on."
Falcon: "Alright, I also must apologize to you for not stopping when you told me; again, I'm sorry."

By this time, the helicopter is already landing, and you decide not to take a parachute, seeing as Toffee fell already, so you close the door and sit down.


Spoiler:

-Group-
Chip manages to land the helicopter safely, with minor damage to it, thanks to the armor chip he had applied before leaving. Cupcakes will still be asleep for a couple of hours, or so it seems, but you're in the middle of a concrete desert; several destroyed buildings around you, and you have no idea how much is left to arrive, or even in what direction is the NewYork city.

Time until next event, 4 hours.

-Toffee-
You fall for a while, until your parachute gets trapped on a huge building. You struggle for several minutes until you notice there isn't much you can do; you think about cutting the parachute, but you remember you're a human being, and would pretty much end... well, dead, if you jumped from that height. Seconds later, a man, probably about thirty years old comes walking, you shout fro help, and the man spots you. This person wearing a long, black coat, black pants and a pair of shades jumps with incredible power up to where you are, and with a finger snap, three arrow-like onyx sticks cut the parachute, letting you fall. After seeing your life pass right in front of you, and seeing "the light", you fall into this man's arms, and seconds later you fall asleep.

You later wake up in a comfortable bed inside a pretty fancy apartment, you hear people chatting through the door, and notice you don't have anything with you, only some basic clothes.

Time until next event, 2 hours. (You were asleep for 2.)

Actions:
You curse about helicopter constructors, and make a mental note about saying that to Chip. You attempt to remember where you landed, you know it was high, but you're not completely sure about anything; all your memories are blurry, but you remember buildings and shouting, so you assume it's either the ruins of some city or just an abandoned one. You look around and don't see your things, you're inside a luxurious room, and everything seems pretty expensive. You see there is a note on the desk that says "There are some clothes in the closet, please come out when you're ready". You feel quite unsure about it, but you finally open the closet and find some clothes; you pick a beautiful dress, something you could have never dreamed about buying before, and it fits quite perfectly on you. You still think this is pretty weird, so you try to listen the conversation outside; you recognize at least one female's voice and two males.
You open the door, and when you come out, the same man that saved you salutes you. "Hey, sleepy; your clothes are drying, they were a little dirty. Come have a drink, will you want some rum?" "Sure" you replied, "Also, thanks a lot for saving me, I thought I would have to attempt to jump from there... By the way, how on earth did you manage to rescue me? It was pretty high, and I don't quite remember..." "Well -he said- I'm a Marox, so I have superhuman strength; I just jumped there and cut the parachute with my affinity." After a small pause, e continues: "These are Mike and Kryla; I am Cole and this is my mansion; pleased to meet you". He serves you some rum with ice, and you drink it; it's top quality, and you enjoy every drop of it.
"So, any idea where my equipment is?" You ask; "Yeah, here you go." He hands you your gun and knife. You talk for about an hour and a half, meeting them, asking them about their lives and all; they talk to you about their childhood and parents and what they like and don't; after a few glasses of rum you're pretty good friends, although Cole doesn't seem to have any effect from the alcohol. They tell you you're on Karusawa, a desert city, and only ten people live in it.


Falcon:
Wake Cupcake, then ask him where the hell we are, or at least where we were going. Then share with the others what I found out about the watch, but only tell them, not show them, about the white needle. Then check out some of the near by buildings, paying extreme attention to everything.


You attempt to wake up Cupcake, but it's pretty damn hard; he's like a bear hibernating. Therefore, you decide to teach your team how to use the watch; you also discover how to use the rest of the buttons.. Kind of; you show them how to use the GPS function, and how to make the voltage cylinder appear, you also explain about the shuriken-ring, and you find out that pressing a different button makes the shurkien's position show a red spot on the GPS map. You tell them about the needle and how it contained deadly poison too, and about the other two buttons, one gives you a shiver down your spine, and doesn't seem to do much more, and after pressing the other you hear AI0867's voice: "Codename-" "F-Falcon" you reply surprised; "Accessing ARU database... Yes, how may I help you, Agent Falcon?" "Nothing, thanks... I was just trying out the gear." You look around the buildings really near to you, but you don't find much, you do find one that has a pretty decent house, to be abandoned, so you take Cupcake and the rest of your group there. After waiting a while, Cupcake wakes up, "Ahhh, a good sleep time is great... Good morning There- WHAT THE!? Oh, right... Mission... Where the hell am I?" "We found this place, we decided to use it until you had awaken... Any idea where we are right now?" "Ugh... Let me check" He opens the GPS and contacts HQ, "Cupcake - Position, distance from target, time elapsed." Short pause, "Alright, it's been almost 6 hours since we left, and we're close to the target... We can get there by tomorrow mid-day if we start walking right now, lets go!" "Ummm... Sir, Toffee is missing." "Oh crap."


Pig:
Major: Scout the immediate area as stealthily as possible, keeping an eye out for signs of Toffee or potential adversaries. If the area is clear, I'll continue in the direction indicated until I receive word that the helicopter is ready for flight once more. If I find anybody, I'll attempt to remain hidden and gather information about them such as count, appearance, demeanor, armed/unarmed status, overheard conversation, and so forth, before returning to the group to report my findings. I'll make every effort to avoid combat and return unnoticed by potential enemies.
Minor: Ask Chip which way to go to locate Toffee.


You scout the area for hours, nothing of interest, to be honest; you do although find out that you're on one edge of the city, since you manage to see vegetation near. Other than that, you don't see much, but you are attacked by a bear; you quickly react with your knife and kill him in one hit, just before he hits you with his paw. You decide it'd be a good idea to take the meat for food, and you cook it with your knife, taking it back to everyone else.
When you're back you ask Chip whether he knows which way Toffee is, and he's not sure, but Cupcakes indicates that she must be south of your current position.


Chip:
Major: Repair the helicopter; search inside it for the tools, materials, components, e.t.c.
Minor: Participate in the group discussion and contribute where possible.
IN ADDITION, search the heli for any combat equipment, food supplies, extra fuel, rope; in short, a total inventory of everything that's not nailed down.
When the above is complete, go scouting in the (if it is repaired) chopper, noting landmarks, features of interest and of course, looking for Toffee. Strap on a parachute just in case, and keep a good lookout for anything unusual.


There's nothing inside the helicopter, since it's just aa transport vehicle, as far as you know. You do although find out that the fuel tank was damaged, and the fuel levels aren't enough to make the helicopter start, and you can't do much to fix it. You take one of the shattered pieces and fiddle a bit with it, creating a really small knife.
You then head towards this place Falcon found, and chat a bit with everyone, getting up-to-date information.


Arieus:
Sit down near the helicopter and rest for a while. When you've sobered up enough ask whoever is closest by why we are in the middle of god knows where with a damaged helicopter, a team member missing, Cupcakes passed out and you feeling like you're pumped full of drugs. (note: I obviously do not know this since I was out for the duration)

After this explanation, call the group together and discuss what features of their equipment they have discovered while they were messing around with it in the helicopter. We might as well share our information while we’re grounded. If the GPS-function of the watch is mentioned, try to utilize it to figure out exactly where we are and how much further it is to your destination.

Then try to help Chip with whatever he is doing at the moment and (if possible) make a quick recon flight around your current location. If this is not possible, grab your gun and try to do some target practice. Who knows what dangers lurk in this godforsaken place.


You ask Chip what on earth is going on, and he explains the situation; it does seem a little blurry, but after listening to him, you notice you do remember a bit of this.
You ask everyone about the equipment, and find out about all the different functions of the watch, knife and jacket; the gun is still a mystery, and Cupcakes doesn't seem like he wants to tell you. You think about using the GPS system to locate Toffee, but then again, the Sargent already beat you to that.
You follow Chip to the helicopter, but you can't help with much, since you have no idea how those things work, you just know how to use them; not like you could have done much without fuel and no tools anyways. You see Chip making a knife, but you think it's stupid to have a sharp piece of metal when you have a plasma knife. You spend the next hour shooting at buildings; your first ten shots are extremely powerful, more than you could have ever imagined, but then you notice you can't shoot anymore, and when pressing a red flashing button, you can now shoot extremely small photon bolts.

Skills:

-Group-
You have to decide what to do; completing the ARU mission is pretty important, and not completing your first mission wouldn't be exactly good for your career; specially for who's fault is... Again, you're not forced to do anything, you don't even need to vote, since everyone can do as they please-

-Toffee-
You chat with these people for quite a while, you're actually leading the conversation, but you notice Cole is reading you, and he seems to be doing a pretty good damn job at it.

Actions:

Aerius and Chip: Aerius starts giving a huge speech about how you should "take the third path" and complete both objectives, when Cupcake suddenly interrupts you saying: "Shut up already, everyone can do whatever the hell they want to do. I myself am going for our man, the rest of you can choose; here's the guy we were supposed to find." He throws a picture at you of an Asian man. You two and Cupcakes decide to go save Toffee, going through the city to the location where she should be. While you're walking through this desert of cement, you see one house that doesn't look so bad, and go into it. There is no one inside, but there are plenty supplies, there is a lot of food, ammo, weapons, clothing, even explosives. You all decide this shall be given away among your partners, but Aerius does take a compressed photon charge for himself, since his gun was empty. You place it all in a bag, and Cupcakes takes a case out of his back pack. When he opened it, two drones came out, they had pretty good lenses and really small weaponry, so they were probably espionage drones. After fiddling a bit with his watch, the two drones grab the bag and head the direction you came from. Alright guys, there's probably enough there to fix the helicopter and all, now we should probably find the girl before someone notices we stole their supplies.
"Too late" you hear someone say, and 3 grunts jump right in front of you, two males and a female.
They're all carrying a bullet handgun and nothing else, as far as you can tell.
"They each have the handgun, two grenades, a long-range rifle, a knife and a concealed blade on their boots, the female also has gas bombs and a flash grenade, and she has slightly better weapons." Said Cupcake.


Toffee: You start acting and lying like hell, but as soon as you start doing so, he smirks; he knows you're lying.
"Damn, night's about to fall, and I was supposed to be in Heyno some hours ago. It's nice to meet you and thanks for your help, but I think I need to hit the road, I don't have my phone to get my fellas to come for me and my heli is probably a heap of metal scrapes now. Can you tell me what direction Heyno is, and, um, can you give me some tips on how not to get lost? Or maybe I can borrow a vehicle? Yeah, I've had some drinks, but it's the middle of nowhere and I have drug dealers to bust. Oh, and I'll drop by when I'm done there, this Madox stuff is really cool. By the way, did you see my jacket and watch?"
"The ARU doesn't catch drug dealers, unless it's a really important one, and if that was the case, they wouldn't send a recruit alone. It's better for you to wait for your team here. As I said, your jacket is drying, they'll bring it anytime soon -A woman comes in with your jacket, hands it to you and leaves- there you go. As for your watch, I'm afraid you'll have to ask for a new one in the headquarters, it's a pretty strong weapon. Also, stop looking cute, Mike here is going crazy for you."
"Shut up Cole" Said the drunk guy in front of you.
You take out your gun and shoot Cole, a really small light-bullets comes out, which Cole catches with his bare hands.
"Oh, right, I forgot about it" He reaches into his pocket and takes the photon charge. "This is yours too, take it." He throws it at you. You notice he is far superior to you in pretty much every single aspect, so you try to run away, he sits there for a few seconds, and then a wall of onyx appears in front of you, as he grabs your arm.
"As I said, you better calm down for a while, I want to talk to you."
There isn't much you can do, and you consider yourself lucky for not being dead yet, so you sit down and listen.
"You're an ARU trainee, they've probably told you a bit about me. I'm Cole, the Marox who supposedly killed the members of the Phoenix team; that's a lie. These here, Mike and Kryla are members of said team, and there are three more that you still haven't met. I'm giving you the chance to join me, just like they did, leave that dreadful place called the ARU and come with me, come to fight for justice instead of oppressing people, come to the side of darkness, where the true light can be found."


Falcon and Pig: You two head towards NewYork, and don't really find anyone or anything interesting, but on your way, you find a truck, it is missing the doors and it's pretty ugly and smelly, also covered in blood and there's a corpse in the back part, but oh well, it's transportation after all. Falcon takes the driver's seat and starts the engines, and you go at full speed towards your destination. You arrive and you see your man surrounded by 20 other people, none was armed with fire weapons, but 20 VS 1 isn't really a fair fight. It's your decision though, will you help him out?


Rescue Team: Fight, stressful situation, only 1 action per player.
Toffee: He asked you a question, you can't really do much but answer, you can also ask a few of your own, probably.
Mission team: Choice on whether to fight or not.

Time until next action, a couple of minutes to half an hour... you're all in stressful situations except for Toffee, but she's answering a question, so it's all the same.

Event #7

Aerius/Filler:
Make a inconspicuous wink at Cupcake and throw you arms in the air as a mark of surrender. Then ask Cupcake the time while explaining to the grunts that you need regular medications for your horrible explody-veins-disease. We wouldn't want to get blood all over our fancy clothes now would we? (Of course we do). Hopefully Cupcakes will take the hint and activate the weaponry on the drones while he fiddles with his watch.

10- You wink at Cupcakes, who facepalms and announces, "It's one thirty-seven pm". He did press a button, and you notice it was next to the one he pressed before to set up the droids. He then grabs you by your shirt and says "sorry pal, too late for your medicine!" and throws you at the enemy, hitting one of the grunts making him fall unconscious and falling on top of the woman. You take out your knife and put her on her neck. "You guys take the last one, pals." With the fast movement in the air, you notice you have a special gift for acrobatics.
Acrobatics level 1


Chip/johnratchet3:
Dive for cover as soon as the sh*t hits the fan, and withdraw my heli-knife for quick access.


6 - You dive as soon as you see these people, hiding behind a couple of boxes. The didn't notice you, but you left Cupcakes alone to fight the last grunt. You did although take your sharp-piece-of-metal-you-call-a-knife and have it in your hands right now.

Toffee/Kanapka:
All right, mr. I Can Catch You If You Run, what's exactly the problem with ARU? I mean, they tried to do bad stuff to you, but there was also this kid who accidentally blew up like half a town, and they want to stop this kind of shit from happening, right? You seem fine to me, keeping to yourself here in the desert, but there are others who do not.


"This kid you mention was James, my grandfather. He was the first marox, he didn't know about his powers... he was only two years old! The CIA captured him, and made extremely cruel experiments on him, they also tortured him, just to see his reaction, just to recreate the flames. They tortured him for years, many years, and when he was already old, they forced him to have a child and then killed him. That child had no powers, kbut the kept him nonetheless, the same story repeated, and I was born. I wasn't born a free marox, I had to fight my way out of that facility at the age of 13, alone, just to find a huge world outside I knew nothing about. That CIA agency that tortured James was destroyed by the government of the United States back when they had the control, but only a few years later, the same CIA agents that made all those atrocities joined a group of terrorists to form the ARU, the same group you work for. We marox don't want to kill people, we don't do it for fun; it's also their fault. During the many experiments they did to James, they got into his nervous system and eliminated the pain, they also fiddled with his hormones to take out his emotions and make him aggressive, they were trying to make biological, thinking war machines. Most of the marox have regained the feeling of pain, and a few other feelings too. I have them all, I have all the feelings a human being has, and I am also rational, not aggressive. I don't kill because I want to, as you think; I don't kill because I need to, as the other marox do; I kill for freedom, for respect, for my life." After a small pause he says "So you, agent Toffee, will you join our ranks, will you become one of the survivors, one of the leaders; will you become one of the few people who are truly free?"


Regnar/Falcon:
Major Action: Aim at the man wielding the plasma blade on the left and fire. Hopefully kill or incapacitate my target and confuse or intimidate others with bodies falling on separate sides (thus giving the impression they're under attack from all sides or by a large group.) Perhaps by the time they've figured out it's just two of us we'll have knocked a few out of commission. Once they figure it out, keep on the move, trying to stay out of range while shooting at moments of opportunity. Once my issued weapon is out of ammunition, holster it, draw my knife, and engage the enemy in melee combat. My tactics then will be to stay mobile and evasive, again attacking at moments of opportunity.

Minor Action: "Pig" snickers, or perhaps more appropriately, snorts. "Looks like they brought the proverbial knives to a gun fight. Check it out. His weapon has reach, and ours definitely have the advantage of range. We'll have to take them down quick as we can, but if we keep out of their range, they won't have a chance. Plasma Blades are in charge, you take right, I'll take left. Try to confuse them."


4- You try to shoot the people at the back, trying not to make too much sound, but you forget to change the bullet type, and shoot a massive photono charge, killing at least five of them. They of course notice you, but they don't seem to care, they're after your guy.


Pig/Rulyon:
3- You shoot towards the man with the plasma blade, but miss. You instead hit someone's foot, at least you managed to make one of them fall. You then jump and start running towards them, but by the time you reach there, they're all dead except for the guy you shot, who is in the ground crying for mercy. You also hurt your knee when jumping recklessly to battle, but it's pretty minor.
Knee injury.


Team Rescue:
Cupcake: 1 - He jumps as to grab the final grunt, who somehow manages to dodge him and run away, just by the time the droid arrives and shoots Cupcake in the arm.

You killed one of the guys, and the other one left, but you have the girl alive. Cupcakes grabs her and strips her (No, not completely >.<) taking all her weapons and communication devices, and tying her to a chair you found there.
"Alright guys; who wants to learn interrogation and a little bit of torture?" He said with a smirk "The one who's too much of a pussy to do it can go search the area."


Toffee:
Not much to say here, it's pretty much answering the question. You did although hear a weak sound, like something hitting a wall. You deduce it's a fight, using your advanced logic.


Team Mission:
Target: 10- (wow... 2 10s in 1 roll...) The man with the staff stands there, waiting for the right moment to attack. He waits quite a while, until the blades are just an inch away from his body, and suddenly, he disappears. He then shows up on a rock nearby, and saying "Thank you for trying to help" he jumps right into the middle, his staff hitting the ground and making an earthquake, killing most of them painfully. The few that weren't close enough to die run away, run like hell, in a split second you couldn't see them, so your target went to the one Pig had shot and grabs him by the chin, his arm's muscles were noticeably pressing his neck, and he said "What do you think, team Aqua; shall we kill him right away, or shall we kill him slowly?"



Time until the next event: 10 minutes - 1 hour, depending on your choices.

Event #8


FillerB/Arieus:
Search the area after taking one of the grunts weapons at random. Cupcakes seems to like this torture-ing thing way too much and I really don't have the stomach to witness things like this. His methods are starting to worry me.


You grab a bullet rifle and get out to search the area. There's not much of interest, but you see a bug mansion, the only building that seemed to have people living in it. While walking through the area, you find a magnificent sword made of onyx, carved with several figures and with a sharp blade. You decide to take it. While walking back to the warehouse, you hear several screams of pain of a female voice, so you decide to stay outside, to go to the small forest nearby and try out your sword; this continues for at least 30 more minutes, and you think you've managed to learn how to use this thing, and how to handle it's weight.

Level 1 swordplay.


johnratchet3/Chip:
Approach the girl, and ask "Any chance you can tell us what we want to know without making this too... difficult? Please? We're merely looking for our comrade who has gone missing in the vicinity."

After she refuses/spits on my shoes, tell her "*sigh*, you may or may not die shortly depending on what my officer thinks is best. If you refuse to help us however... *slowly reveals the knife* ...then a quick clean death is out of the question. Or moreover born from the lack of answers. Are you willing to talk with us now? Time isn't something I enjoy wasting...

Hopefully she talks. Grunts shouldn't think too highly of martyrdom. If she talks, request to cupcake that she be let go, or at the very least, killed quickly. If she doesn't talk... slowly begin cutting...

"I don't know about your comrade; I just came because I noticed you were stealing our things."

"*sigh*, you may or may not die shortly depending on what my officer thinks is best. If you refuse to help us however... then a quick clean death is out of the question." You say while taking out your knife. After a small pause you continue; "Are you willing to talk with us now? Time isn't something I enjoy wasting..."

Cupcakes takes out another pack from his coat; and places it on a bench. He opens it and slowly takes out several torture tools, a small saw, some knives with different shapes, a blowtorch, several high-voltage pieces and some pliers.

Cupcakes grabs one of the knives, it was the most simple one, but it was the sharpest one too.

"Alright, missy, you're going to tell us everything we need to know, and that will decide how many wounds people will have to close before throwing you to rot underground."

You can see the fear in her eyes, as you get your knife closer to her.

"No, please! I really don't know!" She says as Cupcakes sticks his knife below he shoulder. A huge scream of pain penetrates up you your bones, and... you seem to enjoy it. (You sick f**k >.<)

The torture goes on for several minutes, all of her fingers and toes are broken, her face is completely deformed, but she doesn't say anything. You see how Cupcakes uses both physical and psychological torture, And you learn from it. After half an hour of torture, you two decide to kill her; she can't even speak at this point.

Level 1 interrogation.
Level 1 torture.


Ruylon/Pig:
Minor Action: Report in with Cupcake. "Cupcake, this is Pig. We've reached our objective."
Major Action: Search the enemy corpses for anything useful or valuable, especially ammunition or knives.


You contact Cupcakes and tell him you found the target; he replies to follow any order he gives you, and that they still haven't found Toffee. You also hear screaming in the background, and you worry a little. You search the bodies of your enemies and there are a bunch of knives and swords, but nothing that seems useful. Both plasma blades were destroyed, but you do manage to find ten throwing knives, and you decide to place them in your jacket.

Regnar13/Falcon:
Tell the man fast, we need to get on with our mission. Once the guy is dead ask the man (what ever his name is) why we are here.


"Alright then" the man says as he pushes his staff down the enemy's throat, killing him in a few seconds. "Well, Sergeant Cupcakes; our mission is to infiltrate the base here and retrieve the GJ substance intact. It's a suicide mission, there are several soldiers inside, but then I was informed the legendary Cupcake was going to come, and that gave me hope."


Toffee/Kanapka:
"Seems like you've got a point there, I guess I can join you. You had those Phoenix guys convinced, and they sticked with you up till now.
Wait, what was that noise? I think someone's fighting, this may be some of my friends who came looking for me, I'll better check it out.


"Good choice" he says as he places his hand on your forehead. You feel a strange feeling, it feels great; nothing seems to trouble you any more, and you seem to be in peace." "Lets go check out what that sound was, shall we? Mike; Kryla: Get up you pair of lazy bums, we have stuff to do." He starts walking towards the door, and you follow him like cattle. "What's your name, by the way?" He says, as the two of you are about to arrive to the warehouse, walking slowly. You manage to hear several screams on your way, and you know they're coming from inside warehouse. "Take these." Cole says when handing a bullet-handgun to you, and a big box containing onyx bullets. "They're made by myself, pretty good, if you ask me."


Team Rescue & Toffee: After the girl was dead, Cupcakes starts cleaning the tools and placing them inside his box; a tear comes down through his face. "I'll never get used to this, never..." After he's done with the tools, four people appear by the door, two men and two women. You recognise Toffee among them. Aerius just arrives after them, so he is behind them and they still haven't noticed.

Team Mission: You're outside of a huge building heavily guarded by both men and machines; you notice at least three turrets in the entrance, a basic guard-bot for domestic use and four guards with lazer guns. "I'm Thoyo, by the way... How should we proceed, Sergeant?" Says your target looking at Falcon.

Time until next event: Decided by game actions.

Action:
"Everyone chill out, those are my friends, they helped me here. I'll tell you the whole story later, we're way behind the schedule, let's get to the helicopter and move out. Where's the rest of the team?"
Cole: "Your team is probably trying to complete your mission or something, but that isn't really important..."
Cupcake: "So we meet again, Cole. You're living in this abandoned place now? You used to have a taste."
Cole: "Well, you did murder my 300 people team, and you did destroy my whole city last time; I wasn't going to risk losing that again."
Cupcake: "I also see you got new dogs... Kryla... Mike... Even Toffee... How sad; I thought that newbie had a lot of potential."
Cole: "I think it's enough chit-chat, Ryan, we should probably make a decision now: Do you want this tiny bitch of yours to live, or do you want all team to die?"
Cupcake: "You can't defeat me, and you know it."
Cole: "Indeed I can't but I can easily kill any of your rats."
Cupcake: "I'd like to see you try."
You take out your gun, but you're too afraid to shoot, no one else is moving, only Cupcake and Cole, and for some reason, you can't do anything.
(Sorry for this, but I would rather not kill you now, and no one else is moving this turn, so your gun is out and you're ready to do anything you want, but that'll be next turn.


FillerB/Arieus:
Action:
You hide pretty well, and aim your gun pointing near the "enemies", you are ready to shoot.
-hidden: won't be attacked without attacking yourself first.
-aiming: +1 to fight roll if you use the gun.


johnratchet3/Chip:
Stand ready to dive for cover (when/if the fighting breaks out), don't deny that we killed the group, and only draw my gun once behind cover (if I ever make it that far). Ensure my jacket is firmly and securely on to protect as much of my body as it can.

You make sure you can grab your gun quickly, and adopt a stance to be ready to both duck and run, making sure your jacket covers as much as your body as possible, and making sure it's tightly closed.
-dodge stance: +1 to roll if they shoot at you.


Falcon and Pig

"WHAT!? You're not Cupcake? Oh God; we're as good as dead then..."
"But come on, there must be a way we can get in" Pig replies.
"Of course there is, but I'm not going in there without Cupcakes... We could although deactivate the whole defense system in the meanwhile... Lets do something, I'll run past the guards, making the turrets shoot me and the soldiers follow me; you will have about one second to shoot all three turrets in the right spots and make them unable to attack you. We can then break in and do as much as we can while we wait for Cupcakes..."
"Alright!" Falcon says, and starts praying for your safety while Pig sets up his knives in a ready-to-use way, arranging them in different concealed quick-to-access places of his body.


Mission Team
Your guy runs with incredible speed, luring all the guards towards him, and making the turrets shoot at him; the turrets are pointing the opposite way now, and are open for a shot, but you're concerned about the agent; these guys had pretty powerful guns.

Cole - 8

Cupcakes grabs one of his guns; it's just like Toffee's gun, the one Cole gave her. He does some quick-fire and shoot towards Cole with onyx bullets that pierce through his body, spilling blood all over the floor. All this happens extremely fast, before Cole can even react. Cole then jumps towards Cupcakes and throws several onyx spears towards him, two of which hit him on the leg. "CRAP!" Cupcakes said. "That's what you get for trying to defend weaklings, if you hadn't done that, two of your people would be dead by now..." Said Cole, staring at Cupcakes.

You take your small gun and point at the turrets; you pull the trigger just as you remember your girlfriend was expecting you for dinner, and you shoot your foot instead. One of the turrets captures the noise and turns towards you, readying to shoot.
Bleeding leg: -5 to running and moving in fights, may fail movement actions.


FillerB:
Set the gun to "small bolt"-mode and switch my aim to Cole's head. If I went with my original plan I would only take out the grunts and Toffee and from what I just saw it is obvious that they are not the problem. Take a shot at Cole as soon as I have a clear shot, then run like hell to a new hiding spot.

You shoot at Cole with major precision, hitting right on his neck, rendering him unable to move for at least 2 seconds; enough for Cupcake to grab his arm and throw him to the floor. As soon as you notice your shot was successful, you run to a new hiding spot.


johnratchet3:
Open fire on Cole's grunts/sidekicks (small-bolt mode), with the intent of preventing them from attacking Cupcakes. This only includes Toffee if he shoots at Cupcakes.

You start shooting at random people, trying to help out. Sadly, you miss every single shot, and you receive three out of the seven shots they sent. You're in the floor bleeding out, you're in the middle of a battlefield with 3 enemies and only 1 ally.
Bleeding out: dead next turn unless you're successful at healing. (3+)


Rulyon:
Major Action: Shoot the turrents with my issued gun in an attempt to render them inoperable.
Minor Action: Attempt to contact cupcake and inform him of our current situation.

You manage to smoothly take out your gun and destroy the turret about to shoot you; you then quick-fire the second one down. You didn't shoot the third just because it wasn't attacking you right now.

You then call Cupcake to announce that you are about to enter the facility; you only hear "CUT THE COMMUNICATIONS, ASSHOLE!" and a couple of shooting sounds. you decide to cut the communications right away.


Kanapka:
Take cover somewhere near Cole. I the fight breaks out, shoot at people who are shooting at me or at Cole. If Cole says to run I run, if he runs I run.

You notice how Aerius shot Cole. You know he'll be alright, so you decide to chase your ex-teammate down. You run towards him, and when you're about to catch him; you trip and fall over. If he decides yo shoot; you're pretty much dead now.


Cupcake: 8 - He takes his only chance to win this fight: Aerius' shot, and he grabs Cole by the arm throwing him straight to the floor. He then steps on him and puts a gun on her forehead and the knife on his neck. His minions instantly stop shooting and none of you know what will happen.


Cole: 4 - He is taken down, but he has a smirk on his face; something happened... You don't know what, but something.


Cupcake: "Son of a bitch! We need to run! Guys, get out of here! The whole city will explode, it's just like last time! grab Toffee and run!"
